Summary Care Records
Your summary care record is a short summary of your GP medical records. This helps health and care professionals to have better medical information about you when they are treating you at the point of care including the medicines you take or your allergies.
All patients registered with a GP have a summary Care record unless they have opted out and chosen not to have one. The information included in your care record allows access to information to help provide you with safe care, reducing the risk of prescribing errors and improve patient experience if you are treated away from the GP surgery.
